
Beloit Man Sentenced for Distributing Crack Cocaine
Madison, Wis. - John W. Vaudreuil, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Alfred D. Hale, 27, Beloit, Wis., was sentenced on March 26 by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley to 60 months in prison for distribution of crack cocaine. Hale pleaded guilty to this charge on January 27, 2012.
On April 11, 2011, a confidential informant (CI) purchased 41 grams of crack cocaine from Hale. Hale's total relevant conduct, including previous crack cocaine transactions with the CI, involved 82 grams of crack cocaine.
The charges against Hale were the result of an investigation conducted by the Rock County Safe Streets Task Force and Beloit Police Department. The prosecution of the case has been handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney David J. Reinhard.
